Sage Dental Management is a leading, rapidly growing Dental Service Organization (DSO) committed to innovation, excellence, and patient-centered care.

Overview

The Training & Enablement Specialist is responsible for preparing Sage Dental's non-clinical, Operations and Administration teams to successfully learn, adopt, and sustain new tools, processes, and enterprise initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of PMO & Change Management, this role partners closely with the Learning & Development team's instructional design and LMS subject matter expert to ensure every enterprise rollout is matched with clear, engaging, and effective training. Beyond initiative-driven training, this individual owns the ongoing training needs of the practices, identifying gaps, building solutions, and delivering training that keeps operational and administrative teams performing at their best.

Responsibilities

New Initiative Training & Rollout

  • Partner with the PMO & Change Management team and project sponsors to understand upcoming enterprise initiatives, process changes, and system or technology rollouts affecting Operations and Administration.
  • Quickly learn new tools, workflows, and process changes well enough to teach them clearly to others, often on compressed rollout timelines.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions (in-person, virtual, and hybrid) that prepare practice and administrative teams for go-live.
  • Build quick-reference guides, job aids, and train-the-trainer materials that reinforce adoption after the formal session ends.
  • Serve as an on-the-ground and on-call training resource during go-live and stabilization periods, troubleshooting confusion in real time.
  • Gather feedback and performance data after each rollout to measure training effectiveness and refine the approach for future initiatives.

Ongoing Practice Training & Support

  • Proactively identify recurring or emerging training needs across the practices, independent of any single initiative, through observation, performance data, and input from Operations leadership.
  • Conduct needs assessments to prioritize which topics, roles, or locations need training attention next.
  • Develop and deliver refresher and skill-building training on core operational and administrative processes.
  • Travel to practice locations as needed to conduct in-person training, coaching, and follow-up support.
  • Partner with Operations leaders to reinforce training in day-to-day work and close performance gaps.

Instructional Design & LMS Support

  • Support the L&D Instructional Designer with course-building, content updates, and LMS maintenance as capacity allows.
  • Help translate facilitator-led training into self-paced or blended LMS content where appropriate.
  • Keep training content, job aids, and LMS assignments current as processes evolve.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as a thought partner to the Senior Director, PMO & Change Management on how training timing and format support successful change adoption.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts across Operations, Administration, IT, and other departments to ensure training content is accurate and current.
  • Communicate training schedules, expectations, and completion status clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in training, facilitation, or learning & development, ideally within a multi-site or field-based organization.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to make technical or procedural content clear and engaging for varied audiences.
  • A fast learner who is comfortable picking up new systems, tools, and processes with limited lead time.
  • Experience with an LMS platform and basic instructional design principles is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple concurrent rollouts and training priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and building trust with practice-level teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Sage Dental practice locations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This role may require frequent travel to Sage Dental practice locations across the enterprise, with occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend sessions to accommodate practice schedules and minimize disruption to patient care.
